Analysis of costs

There are three main elements to the legal costs of any matter:

·         Our charges

·         Expenses paid relating to your matter that are paid to third parties, and are called ‘disbursements’

·         Costs that you may have to pay to another party

What are ‘Disbursements?

The Home Office fees and expenses for third parties are paid by you directly to the relevant authority/company.
An example of disbursements for immigration cases may include, but are not limited to;

  • Visa application fees

  • The Immigration Health Surcharge

  • Biometric fees

  • Translation of documents

  • Postage costs

  • English language exam

  • External Barristers fees

Many of the above example disbursements may not apply to your case and are listed to give an indication of typical immigration related costs. As these fees are not set by Bukhari Chambers, we are unable to confirm the full cost until we are formally instructed to act for you in your immigration matter.
