Coronavirus statement - 23rd March 2020

Bukhari Chambers will be operating a ‘business as usual policy’ and will continue to act for you in all your legal matters.

We are still here for you and able to work through any proposed quarantine.

Bukhari Chambers transforms legal services during unprecedented circumstances

We are proud to have always been pioneers in what we do and how we do it.

True to that, we are happy to announce that we have set up our virtual offices in the wake of the of the recent developments of Coronavirus.

Starting Monday 23rd March 2020, all our staff at Bukhari Chambers will be connected as normal through a virtual network providing our legal services seamlessly and without interruption to our clients, even though we would be temporarily closing our physical offices in Hendon following the current Government advice.

We wanted to keep you informed about the steps we are taking to protect our clients, our team and our community.

We want to assure you that we already operate on the best customised legal software program, we have taken on the latest apps and office management software and we have our compassionate human selves just at the end of a phoneline!

We understand the difficult times we are in, and recognise that vulnerable people have an additional stress relating to their Immigration status. Despite what is happening around us, the world has to go on, and so far the Home Office has not made any indication of any kind stating that their work will be shut down.

Law is not a business, and therefore does not fall under the normal parameters. We therefore have to continue with the deadlines relating to visa extensions, or Appeals to be lodged, or Hearings in courts, etc. as normal. Any changes to individual hearings that do arise will be communicated directly to those affected in the usual way, usually by email and/or phone.

For new clients and enquiries, Bukhari Chambers takes its jobs as solicitors with great profundity and therefore we will continue to take on new cases and provide legal services as we know these are vital and not a luxury such as going to a hairdresser or restaurant might be.

We shall continue to offer consultations either by telephone or by videocalling.

Please continue to book as normal.

At Bukhari Chambers, we are not panicking or shaking our hand at the sky, instead we are embracing this opportunity to offer our clients easier access, faster answers, quicker response time and overall better service.

This is the new age of Bukhari Chambers – we know you respect us for our legal knowledge not just our hospitality so we look to innovate and offer you an exciting new way to have your legal matter dealt with and of course we will be happy to welcome you back to our offices in Hendon once the situation allows.

Ali Bukhari will be discussing some important changes that affect a lot of people, and as always will try to keep you updated with everything taking place in the Immigration world. Check out our new social media platforms

Stay safe, stay healthy and find us online whenever you need us!

Coronavirus update 17th March 2020 --- The law is an unusual sector as it is not a business. The Ministry of Justice prioritises their ability to maintain access to justice and minimise disruptions. So Bukhari Chambers shall be following the Ministry of Justice at this time and their official status is that during the current phase of the coronavirus outbreak, the business of the courts and tribunals continues as planned. Any changes to individual hearings that do arise will be communicated directly to those affected in the usual way, usually by email and/or phone.

Bukhari Chambers would like to assure our clients that we continue to follow our policy of maintaining strict hygiene standards and cleanliness throughout our entire premises. Our offices are regularly cleaned and all members of staff are washing their hands as often as possible. Staff have been instructed to self-isolate should they show any symptoms of the virus as issued by both the World Health Organisation and our NHS.

We have decided to implement the following practice during the current phase of coronavirus and this will remain in place unless restrictions are imposed by the government and we shall then find alternative ways to deliver our services to both new and existing clients.

A.)    If you are elderly or vulnerable we will endeavour to provide all services virtually, either by email, telephone or videocalling. Post will be sent to you and you will not be requested to come into the office until further notice. If you have an upcoming hearing we will discuss this matter with you personally to ensure you are fit enough to attend.

B.)    If you care for someone who is elderly or vulnerable then likewise we shall also endeavour to provide all services virtually so you minimise your need to travel.

C.)    If you are in good health and are not at risk then we shall continue to provide business as usual including consultations and handover meetings.

For new clients and enquiries, Bukhari Chambers takes its jobs as solicitors with great profundity and therefore we will continue to take on new cases and provide legal services as we know these are vital and not a luxury such as going to a hairdresser or restaurant might be.

We shall continue to offer consultations either in person, by telephone or by videocalling.

Please continue to book as normal.
